Hello Gemini Season!

Mercury enters Gemini on the 3rd as we enter June, and we will start to feel the fast-paced Mercury injecting us with a much-needed dose of optimism. This energy will be heightened as Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, enters Gemini and will remain there until June 9, 2025. The last time that this energy was in the air was in 2013. So, think back on that timeline. What was happening to you then? Also, this month, expect to experience success with new ideas, exciting new connections, collaborations and creativity opportunities, especially in your local neighbourhood.

Mercury, the messenger of the Gods, is moving into the sign of Gemini with a first in our lifetime with Pluto, as he also conjuncts Jupiter. Mercury also makes a trine to the nodes of fate and a square to Neptune. Venus, the planet of love and beauty, is in exact conjunction with the Sun, called a Venus Cazimi. In the 'heart of the Sun,' Venus is purified and reborn. The New Moon in Gemini on 6 June holds powerful manifesting energy, so don't forget to think about what seeds of inspiration you'd like to cultivate. Infuse your magical practice with some of the planetary and traditional correspondences and this month’s bountiful, Venusian sensual energy.

Communication is intrinsic to Gemini. This month is a great time to talk it out. Now is a great opportunity to have those heart-to-heart, soul-searching conversations you have been putting off and take these opportunities to smooth misunderstandings while this messenger planet is in the sky.  Meet up with the friends you might have neglected recently due to the turbulent cosmic weather we've had over the first half of the year, and enjoy the sociability of its lighter, quick-witted energy. Don’t forget that too much talking can cause problems. Remember, a good conversation requires both parties to listen to each other’s opinions.

Look after your brain. Gemini is all about the mind. So, you may want to learn and discover new ways to explore the world. Read that book and immerse yourself in a new creative hobby. Travel to some magical sites and places of historical significance that emit the essence of this season. You don’t have to go far to discover new places. Try other forms of communication, like writing, journaling, prose, or poetry. It is very cathartic to work through emotions through words. One of many ways to communicate your feelings and to look after your mental health.

Gemini is spontaneous. Adventure doesn’t always have to require grand plans and long journeys. Switch up your daily routine, get outside in the natural world, or go camping (not my jam, but I hear it’s very popular). Gemini is also about play. The weather is perfect for starting a sport, so you could try exercising outside instead of a gym or buddy up.  It’s the perfect time to enjoy the summer breeze and Gemini's speedy vibe and get your trainers on. Think outside the box in June.

 Mothering Sunday is a few days away, the tradition where millions of people will show their love and appreciation for their mothers. As a mother myself I understand the responsibility and pressure to be the best parent we can be, physically and emotionally. Mother's Day is the one day when you get to be looked after by your kids, and when they show how much they love you back, it means the world. This will be my first sober Mother's Day for a long, long time. My boys will give me a gift, but unfortunately, they live away from home now, one has his own place, and the other is at university. I wish I had stopped drinking earlier, when they were home, when they were younger and when they kept asking me to.
